John White, Jr. Introduces Green Building Initiative“Taco Green,” Taco’s new marketing and branding initiative, was introduced by Taco President John H. White, Jr., at the AHR Expo 2005 recently. In announcing the initiative, White said that Taco was adding a fifth core commitment to its mission statement, following loyalty to employees, customers, vendors and the community. The new commitment is to the environment, and Taco Green is the expression of the company’s commitment to the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED design and build initiative. The LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System is a feature-oriented rating system where credits are earned for satisfying specified green building criteria.
