ASHRAE Seeks Members for Committee
Developing New Green Building Standard


AHRAE is looking for members to join its committee developing a new green building standard. A call for members is open through December.

The proposed Standard 189.1 is intended to set minimum requirements for the design of high-performance new commercial buildings and major renovation projects.

It is being developed by ASHRAE, the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Committee membership is being reconstituted, with ASHRAE Presidential Member Kent Peterson, P.E., as chair.
