Despite Economy, 2009 AHR Expo Close to Record Size
> Industry News
JANUARY 20 Despite the turbulent economy, the 2009 AHR Expo beginning next Monday in Chicago's McCormick Place has already surpassed the size of last year's show in New York and is expected to be one of the largest, according to show organizers.
To date, more than 1,900 companies will exhibit products in some 395,000 sq. ft. of space. These totals surpass the record-breaking 2008 AHR Expo where 1,757 companies occupied 363,405 sq. ft., said International Exposition Co., which manages the show.
Visitor pre-registration is also strong, which could make this year's event one of the top five best-attended shows to date. However, the show may wind up being slightly smaller than the record breaking Chicago expo of 2006. Click here
