Taco Combines Five Valves in One in New "PLUS TWO" Multi-Purpose Valve
> Product News
Cranston, RI, June 16, 2005 - Taco has expanded its commercial valve product line with the introduction of the "Plus Two" Multi-Purpose Valve. The new valve combines into one body all the valve functions required on the discharge side of a centrifugal pump in a hydronic heating or cooling system.
The "Plus Two" Multi-Purpose Valve combines five valves in a single unit: a shut-off valve, non-slam check valve, balancing valve and a flow metering valve. It can be installed horizontally or vertically for use with both a vertical in-line pump or a base-mounted suction pump – plus it is field convertible from a straight pattern to a 90 degree right angle pattern. It also has a low pressure drop capability, equal or better to any comparable valve available today.
Made of ductile iron with stainless steel and bronze fitted construction, Taco "Plus Two" Multi-Purpose Valves are available in 125 psi working pressure with flanged or grooved end connections and 250 psi working pressure with the same connections. For ease of field maintenance, its stem seal packing can be replaced under full system pressure.
Taco has a specification brochure available for the "Plus Two" Multi-Purpose Valve (Taco Catalog #300-4.2A). Call the company at 401.942.8000 to obtain a copy or visit Taco’s website at www.taco-hvac.com
