Occupations made the list based on job stability, median wage and anticipated demand.
More than 150,000 plumbers, pipefitters and steamfitters will be needed from now until 2016, according to the site, a projected growth of some 11%. In contrast, the top-ranked occupation on the basis of projected employees needed, registered nurses will require some 1,001,000 new persons to meet the demand.
The need for electricians is expected to grow by 234,000, 152,000 more construction managers will be required, and some 89,000 additional industrial engineers.
