Latest News > Green Building News

March 15 — Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the United States fell by 2.9% in 2008, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) annual inventory of GHG.

The chief factor was a decrease in carbon dioxide emissions associated with fuel and electricity consumption, says EPA. The inventory tracks GHG's from 1990 to 2008. During that time, overall emissions have increased by 13.6%, according to the survey.
