ASHRAE Publishes Manual for Sustainable Design


The GreenGuide, a reference manual for HVAC&R designers that provides guidance on green design from project design through construction, operation and maintenance through to demolition is now available from ASHRAE.

The book addresses architectural design impacts, conceptual engineering design, space thermal. comfort delivery systems, energy distribution systems, energy conversation systems, energy/water sources, lighting systems, plumbing and fire protection systems and controls.

Included are 29 ASHRAE “GreenTips” on technique, processes, measures or systems, as well as a list of additional resources.
