U.S. Heating, Cooling Shipments Continue to Improve


U.S. shipments of a broad variety of heating and cooling equipment rose in July, most for the third consecutive month, according to the latest statistical news release from the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI).

Shipments of residential and commercial water heaters and warm air furnaces, all gained ground. Many classes of equipment showed double-digit increases for the month. Shipments of only central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps declined during July, although shipments remained up for the year.
