ASHRAE Offers Free Download of Energy Standard


October 28 – ASHRAE's, "Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings," can be downloaded for free for a limited time from ASHRAE.

The free download of a PDF copy of ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1-2007 is being made possible through a funding contract with the U.S. Department of Energy as a means to promote energy efficiency.

The Standard is a benchmark for commercial building energy codes and an indispensible reference for professinal designing buildings and building systems, says ASHRAE.

"Making the standard available for free ensures that it penetrates the marketplace and reaches owners, contractors and design teams," said ASHRAE President Lynn G. Bellenger, P.E.
