The future is here!
The new Taco Innovation & Development Center, a state-of-the-art training facility and living laboratory for Taco advanced hydronic systems, is now open. A dedication ceremony was held this morning, attended by Taco employees, retirees, dignitaries, and special guests. A special industry-focused event is being planned for later this summer.
Taco products and systems, including LoadMatch® single pipe systems, the LOFlo™ injection mixing system and iWorx® building automation controls, will deliver comfort and economy throughout the entire Taco complex. Better still, these sophisticated systems will be visible throughout the facility to allow close-up viewing, hands-on learning and teaching.
The Taco Innovation & Development Center also includes classrooms, computer and CNC training facilities and functional labs for testing and teaching hydronic technologies ranging from geothermal and solar energy to snowmelt systems, domestic hot water conservation and building automation.
The Center's mechanical systems in use include:
- Radiant cooling and heating.
- LOFlo technology.
- LoadMatch technology.
- Active chilled beam systems.
- Demand ventilation control systems.
- Rooftop cooling towers.
- Rooftop energy recovery systems.
- Lighting controls.
- BTU metering.
- Energy Metering.
- Active and passive solar heat gain control systems.
