Taco Design Suite Software New Updates

We have just released a new version of our Taco Load Tool, Version 2.0. The Load Tool is part of our Taco Design Suite of software that makes sizing, selecting and designing HVAC systems easier and faster than previously possible. This version is now on our website for download.

Now you can be sure you are using the latest version of Taco's System Design Suite of software with new time saving features. If you have Version 1.3.5 you do not need to download the newer version, it will update automatically. If not, you will need to download the latest version as noted above.

The latest version of the Load Tool includes:
  • The Taco Load Tool is a quick and reliable way for you, the HVAC professional, to calculate heat gains/losses from buildings, model those buildings, and size HVAC systems accordingly.

Convenient drop-down menus make it easy to select different construction assemblies, materials and other design parameters, and its fully interactive design immediately updates all results when any one parameter is changed.

You do not have to click on a "calculate" button to see results.

  • We have integrated 3D Revit into the Load Tool. You can now import a Revit file directly into the Load Tool using a gbxml format. Gbxml (green building xml) is a database format available in Revit to export data to other programs.

In the Revit model once you have created a Revit Space for each room that you want to do a load calculation for all the dimensional data (walls, windows, etc.) necessary to complete a load calculation will be available for export to the Load Tool. You can view a video tutorial of these steps on our website.

Depending upon the amount of information in the Revit model additional data such as U values for walls, roofs, etc, may be available. If not a few clicks of the mouse button will enable you to select this data in the Load Tool.

This is a significant savings in time to do a load calculation. With a few clicks of the mouse button you can now import a 3D Revit model into the Load Tool to do a load calculation. No more hand entry of dimensional data to complete a load calculation. It is all done electronically!
  • We have also added calculations for plenums and ventilation loads for display at the room or zone level.
Use any of the tools in the Taco Design Tools Suite to accomplish a wide variety of hydronic design tasks quickly and interactively for immediate use in your projects. You won't find better tools to cut design time, improve your results and save money.
